New Show: RaeRoest Presents... The Generation Gap!

New Show Alert!

The Generation Gap:
A Comedic Lesson on Pop Culture As Told By A Couple Reconciling with An Age Difference

I could not be more excited for this weekend’s first show of a new project RaeRoest has been working on!

About The Show

Gen Gap -Square.png

Comedians Rachel and Sam are romantically involved and have everything in common. Except for an age difference of 12 years. As a result, there is a certain gap of time that they have agreed they cannot talk about. They just cannot -- it’s just too weird!

Now, it’s time to talk about it. On stage.

Each show explores 2 iconic pieces of nostalgic pop culture from their two different childhoods in great detail. By the end of each show, Sam and Rachel - and the audience - will have learned more about each phenomenon as well as about each other.

Show Dates

Sept 23rd @ 9pm
Oct 11th @ 9:30pM

Both shows at The PIT: 123 E 24th Street (@ Lex)

With:

Rachel Rosenthal (North Coast / Big Bang Improv)

Sam De Roest (Thicket & Thistle / Curious Comedy Theater)

North Coast's ANYBODY in a Limited 5 Show Off-Broadway Run!

Last month in my newsletter, I mentioned heading Off-Broadway with Blank! The Musical (more info on that extended run coming soon!) Well, now North Coast is getting in on the fun. You can read all of the details on Broadway World

I can't emphasize enough how much this show and opportunity means to me.

I'm about to come up on my 7 year anniversary with North Coast.  Unlike any other project - this team has my blood, sweat and tears in it. I've helped build this team from the bottom up. From an indie improv group scrounging for free rehearsal space... to a touring improv company... now here we are: trying to bust into the professional theater space. If this run goes well, it could mean A LOT for the future of this team. Also - not for nothing - it's one of the greatest shows I've ever been a part of. What I love about Anybody is that the shows have heart in addition to humor.

ANYBODY: An Improvised Historical Hip Hop'era

ANYBODY, North Coast's improvised historical hip-hopera, is coming to the historic Connelly Theatre in the East Village for a limited 5-show run this September!

I will personally be in these performances:
Wednesday, September 20 @ 8:00pm
Friday, September 22 @ 8:00pm

Rites: A One "Woman" Show

Rachel Rosenthal spins emotionally-charged nostalgic hilarity in this wittily written, charismatically acted, tightly packed ball-of-awesome.
— James Bruffee, Actor (NYC)

Rites: A One “Woman” Show

The year was 1992 and Rachel was about to become a “woman.”  Travel back in time to fluorescent scrunchies, Boyz II Men hits and Rachel Rosenthal’s own Bat Mitzvah - as she takes us on her journey to womanhood through true stories, bigger than life characters, and obviously - choreographed dances. What does it mean to be a woman?
